2025-2026 FEES
(No Need to Panic!)

Our goal is to keep the resource rates to attend Branches & Vine Cottage School extremely affordable for all local families from all walks of life!

We are the region's MOST affordable choice for all comparable options! We are even cheaper than many extra-curricular options, as well.

We purposely hold to an "upside down" financial model (inspired by George
Müller) wherein all parents pay the absolute lowest rate possible we need in order to keep our doors open. This, however, does not cover our operating costs and we prayerfully rely on God to provide for us through generous gifts and offerings above and beyond.

God has been faithful as we are now flourishing and preparing to enter our 6th year!

2025-2026 RESOURCE FEES
Pay online or bring cash or check: made out to Calvary South Dayton
  • One-Time Application: $65 (one time for new families)
  • Returning Family Registration: $50 (annually for returning families only)
  • Parents must own and have read (or be currently reading/listening to):
    • For the Children's Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay
    • In Vital Harmony by Karen Glass
  • Cottage Arts Fee (Drama, Clubs, House Events): $60 per student per year
  • Consumables Fee (notebooks, workbooks, class resources; can be paid in affordable installments):
  • *2-Day Student Consumable Fees will be assessed
    • Woodland Friends: $100
    • Form I Full Day Students: $160
      • Form I Half Day Students: $100
    • Form II Full Day Students: $160
      • Form II Half Day Students: $100
    • Form III Full Day Students: $240
      • Form III Half Day Students: $140
    • Forms IV/V: $240
      • Forms IV/V Half Day Students: $240
*Considering the cost of curricula and shipping, the above fees do not cover our resource costs but certainly help to partner with us in our tight B&V budgets!

  • Book Costs: Many of our term reading books (required of students in Forms II-V) can be borrowed from libraries or purchased from second hand websites, or Amazon/Christian Book, etc. We do our very best to keep these costs as minimal as possible and encourage parents to "pay as you read" throughout our terms!
  • B&V or House Hoodies: Visit our online Uniform Store: roughly $15-38 (B&V hoodies are required in 2025-2026 academic year)
  • Instrument Rental or Purchase for those choosing our Strings Option (we highly recommend McCutcheon Music for rentals or purchasing; higher quality violins hold their tune better! They range from $15 to $22 per month rental or you can purchase a used violin usually affordably from used online platforms)
  • Optional Private Music Instrument Lesson Fee: $15 per lesson (strongly recommended: piano, violin, guitar, or voice; this is in addition to our music ensemble classes)

If your family is experiencing ongoing financial hardship, then we will be pleased to work with you! We never turn a willing and grateful family away based on finances.

........................................................................................................................................

Branches & Vine Cottage School is a four-day classically-based Charlotte Mason Cottage School walking alongside families in Dayton, Ohio.

Abiding in Christ and His Word, aligning with Charlotte Mason’s principles, and partnering with parents, we spread a rich and varied feast ... a life-giving education anchored to awakening ideas of truth, goodness, and beauty. We pursue three-fold knowledge with deepening relationships (God, humanity, universe).

Our three instruments of education are atmosphere (moral, intellectual, and social climate), discipline (habit formation), and life (relational, delightful living amplified by living ideas).

This is to be used by the Holy Spirit, our Continual Helper, in transforming students to genuinely love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength; be rooted and grounded in love; lead gracious and grateful lives filled with knowledge, understanding, and wisdom;  and bear much fruit for the glory of God.

(John 15:1-11, Phil 4:8; Deut 6:4-9 & Mark 12:29-31; Eph 3:16-19; Col 1:9-11; Prov 24:3-4)
“I am the VINE, you are the BRANCHES. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15:5
